Abstract:
International audience ; Dans l’enseignement supérieur français, la certification CLES est aujourd’hui à la croisée des chemins entre des conceptions anglo-saxonnes et francophones de l’évaluation des apprentissages. Dany Laveault (prix d’excellence recherche 2012 – Faculté d’éducation d’Ottawa) admet que les efforts se sont concentrés, du côté anglo-saxon, sur le rôle et l’efficacité de différents modèles d’évaluation formative pour réguler tant l’enseignement que l’apprentissage. Du côté francophone, les efforts se sont cristallisés autour de l’évaluation d’objectifs d’apprentissage formulés en termes de compétences. Ceux-ci font appel à la mobilisation des connaissances et des ressources internes et externes de l’élève dans l’exécution de tâches complexes s’inscrivant dans des familles de situations authentiques et hautement contextualisées. (Laveault 2013 : 31–32)Où se situent le CLES et les autres tests et certifications dans ces deux world views ? Notre postulat de départ est que le CLES se trouve ancré dans un paradigme dont l’un des volets est à construire et force est de constater que l’objet certification, pourtant devenu incontournable dans l’enseignement supérieur, n’a pas encore été construit de façon scientifique en tant que processus intervenant dans un parcours de formation. La construction de l’objet certification en langue se dirigerait-elle alors vers le Language Testing, domaine de recherche international dans lequel s’inscrivent de facto les études sur les certifications en langues ? Une autre voie est-elle possible ?
